Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides — overall heart-risk check.
A lipid profile measures the different types of fats in your blood: total cholesterol, "good" cholesterol (HDL), "bad" cholesterol (LDL), and triglycerides. Together they show how well your body is handling fats — the strongest day-to-day signal of heart-disease risk.
Heart disease is rising sharply in Nepal, often without symptoms until something serious happens. A lipid profile catches the risk early so you can change it with diet, exercise, or medicine — long before a heart attack.
Fast for 9 to 12 hours before the test. Plain water is fine. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours, and try not to do hard exercise the morning of the test.
