Method: IHC
Detects CD45 (Leukocyte Common Antigen), a marker present on virtually all white blood cells. Used to confirm that a tumour is a lymphoma (cancer of lymph cells) rather than a carcinoma.
The first question when evaluating any lymph node or soft tissue mass is: is this a lymphoma or a different cancer type? CD45 provides a quick, reliable answer that guides the entire diagnostic pathway.
No preparation needed — performed on biopsy or surgical tissue.
