What this test checks

A detailed pathological analysis of the breast and axillary lymph nodes removed during a modified radical mastectomy for breast cancer. Assesses tumour size, grade, lymph node involvement, and surgical margins.

Why do people get this test?

MRM analysis determines your final breast cancer stage — how many lymph nodes contain cancer and whether the tumour was fully removed. This information directly determines whether you need chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or hormone therapy after surgery.
