General blood checkup — flags infection, anemia, low immunity.
A CBC counts the different cells in your blood: red blood cells that carry oxygen, white blood cells that fight infection, and platelets that help blood clot. The numbers tell your doctor whether each part of your blood is in a healthy range, or whether something is off.
It is the most common starting test in Nepal because it picks up a wide range of common problems — anemia (weak blood), infections, immunity issues, and clotting problems — all from a single small blood draw. Most general checkups and pre-surgery workups include it as a baseline.
No special preparation needed. You can eat and drink normally before the test.
